Welcome to Nottinghamshire Shin Gi Tai School of Aiki Ju Jutsu. We are aAiki Ju Jutsu school dedicated to authentic Japanese martial arts instruction. Japanese Ju Jutsu is the predecessor of Judo and precursor of today's ultimate fighting styles. Jujitsu is a martial art developed by the elite Samurai class during Japan's feudal days. For centuries, this method of unarmed self-defence proved so successful in combat that it was kept secret and taught to a select few.
Nottinghamshire Shin Gi Tai is a part of the United Kingdom Schools of Shin Gi Tai Ju Jutsu headed by Shihan Keith Morgan. Keith Morgan is one of the driving forces in Britain's martial arts scene and whose guidance we hold dear.
As well as self defence we teach the use of weapons such as the Katana (Samurai sword) Baton, Jo and Yawari stick. Knife defences and multiple attacks are also taught as a part of the syllabus.
Aiki Ju Jutsu is suitable to Men and Women a like and size and strength are not an important factor in applying a technique.
